After the beatdown that Texas Longhorns gave to Iowa State, we breakdown the Good, Bad and Ugly from this game.
The Good
David Ash
He is just doing his thing right now. Out of 10 games this season, he has had only 2 bad games. After last season, that’s something you put in the good category.
Joe Bergeron and Jonathan Gray
Every time I think Joe Bergeron will end up being just a goal line or short yardage running back, he has games like today. He ran with power and finesse. Jonathan Gray didn’t get 100 yards but had two touchdowns on the ground. Both accounted for a big piece of the offensive gameplan.
Jaxon Shipley and Mike Davis
Mike Davis makes big plays when the team needs him to and Jaxon Shipley made every catch today. He had a heck of a game.
The Bad:
Plays called for DJ Monroe, Marquis Goodwin, and Daje Johnson
You need speed skill guys on your team and you have to use them or recruits with that specific skill set will not come to Texas. But Iowa State almost knew when they were going to get the ball. I think Harsin just hates to get the ball to them but if they don’t get playmakers involved, they won’t be signing any playmakers.
The Ugly:
Nothing
Nothing I can point out that would make me put something in the ugly category. Great job by the Longhorns tonight, they earned the win.
