On Saturday Night, Case McCoy sent out a tweet to over 18,000 of his followers and it this is what it said:

Now seems harmless right? Until you realize he was sending out a congratulatory tweet to Oklahoma Wide Receiver Kenny Stills.

That made a lot of Longhorn fans on the message boards very mad. Here were a few comments I was able to find on the various message boards about the tweet.

I don’t overreact, or generally react at all to player tweets, but this one does have me saying ‘wtf’?

Hey Case….YOUR team is still in the running, too, but you need OU to lose…not win.

Now this might be in response to a tweet that Kenny Stills sent out to Case after the win against Kansas. Here is the tweet that Kenny Stills sent to Case McCoy:

Now Kenny Stills does not like the criticism Case McCoy is taking from Longhorn fans.

I think Longhorn fans do have a right to have an issue with this tweet. It’s one thing to send him congratulations in a text message or in an email. That’s private. But when you put out there publicly a congratulations to not only your rival, but a team who beat your team 63-21 and that you are competing against for a conference title, that is going to piss off many Longhorn fans. Case isn’t going to take down the tweet but he needs to understand that he will take some deserved criticism for that tweet.
