6. Florida
7. Florida State
8. Oregon
9. Kansas State
10. Stanford
11. Oklahoma
12. Nebraska
13. Texas A&M
14. Texas
15. Clemson
16. South Carolina
17. Oregon State
18. Louisville

22. Oklahoma State
23. Northern Illinois
24. Utah State
25. Kent State
Analysis: Notre Dame takes over at number 1 and they should remain #1 as long as they survive USC. Ohio State won’t win a national championship, but they had a heck of a season. Texas A&M is barely ahead of the Longhorns, but when you look at their schedule, they played some pretty poor opponents. Oregon and Kansas State fall to 8 and 9 respectively. The poll has 3 new faces and those are Northern Illinois, Utah State, and Kent State. With so many bad teams in BCS conferences, I think it’s time to give some love to the mid majors.
