– The team decided to keep the DKR initials on the helmet for the rest of the season.

– Jordan Hicks is out for the year and will apply for a medical redshirt.

– Nate Boyer won the Disney Spirit Award for most inspirational college football story.

– Mack Brown said it’s tough to play week to week in college football.

– He said that a running game is key to getting better pass protection.

– He also stated that he doesn’t like realignment because it loses traditional matchups but you have to do what’s best for Texas.

– Said that the Thanksgiving football game is to showcase Texas High School Football. I think that is what Thanksgiving football is all about in Texas.

Adrian Phillips

- Says that they understand where they are in the conference title race, but that they have to keep focused and take it one game at a time.

Jonathan Gray

– He is ready for the Thanksgiving football game.

– Says the most important senior to him is Jeremy Hills because he told him how to prepare for the games.

Kenny Vaccaro

– He said it will be a very emotional game and he is very emotional but has to be strong for the team.

– The conference title is what Texas should be in competition for every year according to Kenny.

– He also said that what you learn from Kansas State is you can’t take your opponents lightly.

Alex King

– Said he has kicked about 100 punts during gameday through warmups and game kicks.

– He doesn’t feel that he could do 29 punts, which is the Texas school record, but if he had to, he would hope they were all pooch punts.
