On Tuesday, The Big 12 announced it’s football schedule for the 2013 season. This is the 2013 Texas Longhorns football schedule (Home games in bold):
2013 TEXAS FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

AUG. 31: NEW MEXICO STATE
Sept. 7: at BYU
SEPT. 14: MISSISSIPPI
SEPT. 21: KANSAS STATE*
Oct. 3 or 5: at Iowa State*
Oct. 12: vs. Oklahoma* (Dallas)
Oct. 26: at TCU*
NOV. 2: KANSAS*
Nov. 9: at West Virginia*
NOV. 16: OKLAHOMA STATE*
NOV. 28: TEXAS TECH*
Dec. 7: at Baylor*

My Take: The schedule looks strong once again for the Texas Longhorns. The most obvious trap game on the schedule is at Iowa State. It’s either going to be a Thursday night game or on Saturday October 5th. If it’s a Thursday night game, I feel the Longhorns would be prepared for the game. If it is a Saturday game, that will be a problem. Oklahoma State and Texas Tech toward the end of the schedule is very appealing to me because if Oklahoma State wants to compete for a Big 12 title, that road should come through Austin. I think it’s fitting for Texas to be the final team to play in Floyd Casey Stadium considering Texas fans are the ones that usually fill up Floyd Casey Stadium.
