TCU Horned Frogs created 4 turnovers and shocked the Texas Longhorns 20-13 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. TCU improves to 7-4 (4-4 Big 12) and the Longhorns fall to 8-3 (5-3 Big 12).
The game started out with a solid drive by Texas only to end with a David Ash interception at the 6 yard line. TCU took the ball 94 yards and scored a touchdown on their first drive. After that drive, the Longhorns held the TCU offense to only 13 points after that and the only other touchdown was when the Horned Frogs started in the redzone. They only gave up 210 yards for the rest of the game.
The offense did have a few good drives but TCU was able to get key stops when they needed to. Jaxon Shipley had a great game with 6 catches for 80 yards. Jonathan Gray had a few good carries but was held to only 51 yards on 15 carries. Marquis Goodwin had a good run in the 3rd quarter yet was missing in action for the rest of the game. DJ Monroe did not even get any offensive touches in the game.
The only touchdown came on an 11 yard run by Jeremy Hills and Case McCoy came in and led the Longhorns on that scoring drive. But on the final drive of the game, Case McCoy threw into triple coverage and was intercepted and the game was over.
The Texas Longhorns will end the regular season in Manhattan, Kansas against the Kansas State Wildcats.
