Kansas City Tragedy Thoughts

– I was in Junction City preparing to head to Manhattan, which is only about 8 miles from Junction City, when I was watching College Gameday and I saw the ESPN Ticker saying a Chiefs player committed suicide at the Arrowhead Training Facility. I immediately talked to a person I know who worked there and he told me “It’s crazy right now, I can’t talk.” This was a tragedy that I don’t think anyone could have prevented and I don’t know how you handle this.

On one hand, this is a murderer that instead of facing the people for his crime, he decided to take his own life. On the other hand, here is a teammate that worked hard to get to the NFL that you developed a friendship and all of a sudden you will never see him again and the image of him is being a wife beater and a cold blooded killer isn’t how you remember him. He was distraught and regretted what he did.

They should have played the game. I agree with that.
