Pick 6! College Football Bowl Mania Special

Utah State is making the 2 hour trip north to Boise, Idaho for a chance at a 11 win season. Toledo had a great season but this Utah State team is very good. They are focused and Utah State’s head coach is a stud (which why is he not even a consideration for some of these top BCS jobs is mind boggling). To make matters worse for the Rockets, they are terrible at defense. 108th in total defense and that’s against MAC opponents. Utah State will win this game BIG.

Utah State wins 41-17 (Confidence points: 29)

Beef O’Brady Bowl (Central Florida vs. Ball State)

This is a very tough game to predict because I think both teams are evenly matched. I really can’t find where 1 team has an advantage over the other. But I do know Central Florida has a good offense. I have to go with the team in Florida to make a statement in St. Petersburg.

Central Florida wins 27-21

Poinsettia Bowl (BYU vs. San Diego State)

San Diego State is playing at home against a good BYU team. I think San Diego State will win this game but there is a lot of people picking BYU and I can see why because their only bad loss is at Utah for a rivalry game. The BYU Cougars play a tough schedule so BYU can handle the San Diego State.

San Diego State wins 20-19 (Confidence points: 1)

New Orleans Bowl (East Carolina vs. Louisiana-Lafayette)

The Ragin’ Cajuns  are back in a bowl game once again. This time they face the East Carolina Pirates. Now this isn’t the first time the Pirates have played in the Superdome this year. They beat Tulane by 5 points on November 17th. The Ragin’ Cajuns won their first bowl game last year on a last second field goal. I think it will be a much more comfortable win for the Ragin’ Cajuns.

Louisiana-Lafayette wins 27-20 (Confidence points: 8)

MAACO Bowl (Washington vs Boise State)

3 straight years to Las Vegas for Boise State. This time they might get a good game out of their Pac-12 opponent. Washington is a solid opponent but coming off of a overtime loss to Washington State really set the Huskies back in what was suppose to be a year the Huskies moved up the Pac-12 standings to set up a potential Pac-12 title. Now Boise State is not the Boise State of old under Jared Zabransky and Kellen Moore but this is still a very solid team. I still think Boise State wins but I am not that confident in the pick.

Boise State wins 24-17 (Confidence points: 9)
