The Texas Longhorns got a much needed victory on Wednesday, whooping the North Carolina Tar Heels 85-67. The Longhorns don’t get a break as they travel to East Lansing, Michigan to play the Michigan State Spartans.

What are the strengths of Michigan State?

Tom Izzo is known for 1 thing and that is rebounding. Michigan State is ranked 29th in rebounding with 40 rebounds a game. To make matters worse, they are one of the best shooting teams in the country. Michigan State is ranked 23rd in the country in field goal percentage at 49%. So they make almost half of their shots and they limit their opponents to 1 shot with their rebound advantage.

What are the weaknesses of Michigan State?

They don’t score a lot of points but considering their style is a lot like Texas where they play good defense and use up all of the shot clock.

How can Texas win this game?

Well Tom Izzo will have his team ready for this game. After what Texas did on Wednesday, they aren’t going to be overlooked. To pull off another upset, they have to continue to win the turnover battle and keep the rebounding margin close.
