As we say goodbye to 2012 and hello to 2013, it time for the Texas Longhorns to set some high expectations. Here is our expectations for the Longhorns in 2013.

- Men’s Basketball Makes Postseason Tournament

It might be too lofty of an expectation for the Longhorns to make the NCAA tournament, but they should make the NIT with the win they had over North Carolina.

- Get Daje Johnson the ball

In 2013, this should be on a sticky note in every room in Belmont, the Bubble and in his house. This is what it should say:

“Get Daje Johnson the ball at least 12 times per game”

I don’t care if it’s 3 kickoff returns, 5 rushing plays and 4 catches. If he can get over 120 all purpose yards per game, he will make a huge impact on the 2013 Texas Longhorns. If you look at the 2005 Texas Longhorns, Vince Young was the explosive playmaker and the Quarterback. David Ash is the quarterback, not the explosive playmaker so Daje Johnson has to be that explosive playmaker for this team moving forward.
