According to Joe Schad, Mike Davis is looking to go pro.

Chip Brown is reporting that Mike Davis is wavering on that position and then Joe Schad tweeted this:

So right now people around the Texas Longhorns and Mike Davis are unsure of what he will do.

My Take:

I don’t want to say it’s panic time in Bellmont but if Mike Davis goes pro, Texas is in a tough spot for 2013. Mike Davis is the only vertical threat Texas has. Of course someone can step up and be that vertical threat but with games against BYU, Ole Miss and Kansas State in September, establishing that vertical threat is going to be huge. Jaxon Shipley is an amazing receiver but his game isn’t the long vertical passes. Mike Davis is that proven vertical threat and without him Texas will struggle in those crucial non-conference game.
