The Super Bowl is the biggest football game of the year. It’s the final American football game of the season and a celebration of a great football season. The Texas Longhorns will have representatives on the 49ers and the Ravens for the big game on February 3rd. Here is a list of the Longhorns in the Super Bowl.
Leonard Davis. Reserve Guard. San Francisco 49ers
Leonard Davis use to be a starter for the Dallas Cowboys but is now a backup guard for the 49ers. He is playing in his first Super Bowl.
Tarell Brown. San Francisco 49ers
A starting cornerback for the San Francisco 49ers. Tarell has been a key part of the 49ers success this season accounting for 56 tackles and 2 interceptions. He is playing in his first Super Bowl.
Chykie Brown, Baltimore Ravens
A reserve cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, Chykie has made a contribution to the Baltimore Ravens’ secondary particularly at the end of the season. In the final 2 regular season games, he made 7 of his 25 tackles and 5 of his 6 pass deflections during those 2 games. This will be his first Super Bowl as well.
Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens
Justin Tucker will always be remember for his game winning kick against Texas A&M:
Now he is making clutch field goals for the Baltimore Ravens. As an Undrafted Free Agent, Justin Tucker was able to win the starting job from Billy Cundiff in Training Camp and as won big games for the Ravens. Hitting the game winning field goal in the Divisional playoffs against the Denver Broncos and one against the Patriots during the regular season.
Unfortunately, two of our former Longhorns will go home from New Orleans empty handed but we wish all 4 Longhorns in the Super Bowl good luck.
