The Texas Longhorns signed their 11th recruit of the day with the signing of Chevoski Collins. he is rated as a 3 star by Rivals and 247 Sports. The Livingston athlete signed his letter of intent at Livingston High School.
Chevoski Collins chose the Texas Longhorns over offers from Baylor, Oklahoma State, TCU and Oklahoma among others. He went on only one official visit during the season and that was to Oklahoma. He didn’t visit Texas on an official visit before he made his decision which worried Longhorn fans. On October 8th, 2012, he made his decision to go play for the Texas Longhorns.
Chevoski is an athlete according to recruiting services but he is projected to play in the secondary at Texas. With his playmaking abilities, I can see him making an impact on a depleted secondary now searching for playmakers with the departure of Kenny Vaccaro. He is going to compete either at safety or cornerback.
The Texas Longhorns are anticipating the signatures of 11 men today to go along with 15 total signees for the 2012 Football Recruiting Class.
