The Texas Longhorns have signed their 13th recruit of the day with the signing of Darius James. He was rated as a 4 star offensive lineman by 247 Sports and Rivals. He signed his letter of intent at Harker Heights High School in Killeen, Texas.

Darius James chose the Texas Longhorns over offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Baylor and Mississippi State. Darius made his commitment official on March 5th 2012. He kept his recruitment silent and was very uneventful. In December, rumors started that Darius James was looking to open up his recruitment. He shot those rumors down by saying he was a Longhorn.

Darius James is expected to be redshirted and eventually add depth to the offensive line. He is projected to be a center but could play guard if the need was there.

The Texas Longhorns are anticipating the signatures of 13 men today to go along with 17 total signees for the 2012 Football Recruiting Class.
