The Texas Longhorns won the opening tip and that was the best highlight from the debacle at Allen Fieldhouse as the Kansas Jayhawks beat the Texas Longhorns 73-47.

Nothing went right for Texas tonight. Myck Kabongo led all scorers with 13 points. Connor Lammert added 9 points but for most of the night, the Texas Longhorns couldn’t hit water if they were standing in a boat.

Texas shot 2-21 from 3 point range or 9.5% for the game. At one point in the first half, the Longhorns went 2-9 from the free throw line. They finished 21-32 from the free throw line or 66%. The Texas Longhorns did have an amazing night gathering offensive rebounds which they got 17 offensive boards.

The black uniforms looked nice but now with blowout losses the last 2 times Texas has worn black, I think it might be time to save those uniforms for a much weaker opponent so Texas might have a chance at winning these games.

Sometimes there are games that you just say it wasn’t our night and forget about it. This is one of those nights. Get back on the plane, head back to Austin and forget about it.
