The Texas Longhorns coming off of an emotional win against Oklahoma on Wednesday went to Stillwater, Oklahoma to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Longhorns started out strong against the Cowboys but the talent and experience of Oklahoma State was too much as the Longhorns fell behind in the second half and ended up losing
The Longhorns started out strong scoring the first 5 points of the game and went into the first TV timeout with a 13-7 lead. The Cowboys were able to fight back by pressuring Myck Kabongo and causing 5 first half turnovers, a career high. The Cowboys were able to take the for the first time on an amazing windmill dunk by Markel Brown.
The Cowboys ended the first half on an 11-2 run to take a 37-31 lead at the half.
The second half the Cowboys took control fast. Oklahoma State went on a 8-2 run before the first TV timeout of the second half. Markel Brown led all Cowboys in scoring with 18 points and Markus Smart added 11 points. Javan Felix led the Longhorns in scoring with 13 points.
The Longhorns play against Baylor at the Frank Erwin Center on Wednesday at 8pm.
