The Texas Longhorns have added their 2nd commitment to the 2015 class. Desoto defensive tackle Bryce English has committed to the Texas Longhorns. This is his twitter status confirming his selection:

He hasn’t been ranked yet in the Fansided 150 but he is currently ranked in the Orangebloods.com’s Lone Star 100 at number #76.

My Take:

Mack Brown rarely misses on defensive recruits. If he is willing to accept a commitment from a defensive recruit this early in the recruiting process, he must be very good. Desoto is one of the top football programs in the state so to have that pipeline is crucial so now if a recruit blossoms late in he recruiting process, Texas already has a man on he inside that can help him come to Austin to play for the Longhorns. Huge commitment for the Texas Longhorns. I wouldn’t be shocked if other teams start to copy this move by the Texas Longhorns.
