The Texas Longhorns softball team has advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals. They will face off against the Florida State Seminoles, who won the Mobile regional this past weekend.
The Longhorns went 3-0 this weekend and won every game in dominating fashion. They only surrendered 2 runs while scoring 22 runs. The Texas Softball team was able to do this by jumping out to an early lead in every game, outscoring their opponents 6-0 in the first inning of the NCAA Austin regional.
Play will begin in the NCAA Austin Super Regional on Friday May 24th at 8pm. Game 2 will be at 2pm and Game 3 (if necessary) will be at 5pm. All games will be broadcasted on ESPNU.
Texas Women’s Golf In The NCAA Championships
The Texas Longhorns women’s golf team have made their 24th NCAA Championship in school history. They began play today in the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship finishing the day at +11 which was good enough for 14th place as of 12:30 CST. The Longhorns women’s golf team will play tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday in a 72 hole stroke play format which will determine the best women’s golf team in the nation after 4 days of competition. The Lady Longhorns have dug themselves into a deep hole so to win their 1st national championship in school history, they have to play their best golf for the next 3 rounds.
