Texas Longhorns Recruiting: Foreman Brothers Commit To Texas

The Texas Longhorns are wrapping up the 2014 recruiting class in impressive fashion as Mack Brown added two more commitments on Thursday night. Armani and D’Onta Foreman have both committed to the Texas Longhorns. Armanti is rated highly by both 247Sports and Rivals as a 4 star wide receiver. D’Onta on the other hand hasn’t been heavily recruited. He does have offers from Missouri, Illinois and Washington State.

Here is Armanti’s highlight tape:

My take:

After Armanti decommitted from Oklahoma, Texas wanted to get him badly. Obviously it was bad enough to take his brother’s commitment as well. Now I don’t know whether either one will be a bust or a solid contributor. From what we know now, the Longhorns accepted a packaged deal to get Armanti Foreman into the fold. Now D’Onta has lots of potential and athleticism to be a strong Division 1 player, but it’s up to him to keep working and prove to all the “haters” that he deserves this opportunity.
