The Texas Longhorns had their Texas Stampede on Saturday. The Texas Longhorns had a full day of recruiting news. Here is a recap. (Note: all updates in this article were done the night before)

1. The Texas Longhorns were able to get a commitment from 3 star defensive back Jason Hall for the 2014 class. Rumors kept circling around the evening that Patrick Vahe committed to the Texas Longhorns. No official word came out but it’s safe to say Patrick Vahe is favoring the Longhorns.

2. 2 offers went out yesterday. The prospects offered were:

- QB/WR Reggie Hemphill (2016)

- RB JaMycal Hasty (2015)

3. Another huge piece of news was 2015 prospect JW Ketchum naming Texas his favorite according to 247Sports. He is measured at 5′ 11.5″ but he could grow another inch before  reaching a college campus but currently his favorites are Texas, Texas A&M, and Baylor in that order.

A very successful first “Texas Stampede” for the Texas Longhorns. Now it’s time to focus on fall camp and getting the current players on campus ready for the upcoming season.
