Horns Up! Free Jalen Overstreet

The Texas Longhorns are 1-2. They are terrible. However there is a little silver lining in this dark cloud.

Jalen Overstreet.

David Ash is injured for who knows how long. Case McCoy is limited and it’s obvious the coaches have no faith in Case McCoy running the offense. Tyrone Swoopes is heading for a redshirt it seems and Jerrod Heard isn’t on campus yet. So who do you have left? Jalen Overstreet. He is a dual threat quarterback. Even if he has been transitioned to running back or wide receiver, he was recruited as a quarterback. Even if  isn’t Peyton Manning throwing the football, his ability to make plays with his feet will help move the ball down the field and the wide receivers will be able to get open while the corners chase Jalen around.

Mack Brown has obvious made every wrong about this team. Recruiting, game plan, coaching, everything. I highly doubt he will put in Jalen Overstreet as the quarterback but he deserves a shot. Case McCoy isn’t going to get the job so what’s the worst that can happen?
