Texas Longhorns: Charlie Strong Removes Patrick Suddes as Director of Player Personnel

Director of Player Personnel Patrick Suddes will not be retained by new head coach Charlie Strong.

Suddes was hired in 2013 by Mack Brown to take over the personnel department and organize the school’s recruiting program. Suddes was the associate director of football operations at the University of Alabama before accepting the Texas job.

This is an interesting move since Suddes has already helped Texas land commitments from the 2014 and 15 classes. Suddes worked to make sure Longhorn assistants had the information they needed for their recruiting trips. Now Texas will truly be starting from scratch as the recruiting season heats up. This does not bode well for a school already losing commitments.
