Texas Longhorns coach Charlie Strong and his staff played host to a number of recruits this past weekend. Most are solid locks to be on the Forty Acres this year; a couple still have scheduled visits to other schools. Here’s a list of visitors and their status.

Sione Teuhema, DE, Keller – The defensive end is pretty much a lock to be on campus in 2014.

Donald Catalon, RB, Eisenhower – The running back from Houston is still committed to Texas. Catalon enjoyed his visit with the coaches and players.

Derek Roberson, DE, Brennan – Roberson made the short drive up from San Antonio to visit campus. The defensive end still plans to sign his letter of intent with Texas.

Jermaine Roberts, DB, St. Augustine – After his visit to Austin, the three-star athlete from New Orleans no longer plans a visit to Ohio State. Roberts says he is planning to attend UT.

Corey Avery, Athlete, Dallas Cater – Texas made an offer to Avery, but he still plans to visit Nebraska and Kansas before making his decision.

Alex Anderson, OG, Landry-Walker – Another player from New Orleans was in town. Anderson is verbally committed to Arizona State and still has a visit scheduled there. He will weigh his options after getting back from Arizona.

Poona Ford, DT, Hilton Head – Ford still has trips to Missouri and Oregon on his schedule. The defensive tackle will talk with his family and see if he should make those trips. Ford would be a welcome addition at the DT spot.

Jah’Shawn Johnson, DB, Ennis – Johnson did not receive an offer during his visit. Johnson is a Texas Tech commit.
