Three-star defensive back Jermaine Roberts joins Texas’ secondary haul on National Signing Day. Roberts becomes the fourth DB to sign with Texas, joining fellow three-stars John Bonney, Jason Hall and four-star Edwin Freeman. Roberts is out of St. Augustine high school in New Orleans.

The 5’9” 170-pounder has a 40 time of 4.4, bringing much-needed speed to the Longhorn Secondary. Originally committing in April, Roberts never wavered from his pledge despite a coaching change. He ranks as the No. 27 cornerback in the country.

Roberts had offers from major programs like Alabama, Florida St., Oklahoma, Oklahoma St., Baylor, Ohio St., Arkansas, Texas A&M, Mississippi and UCLA.
