Texas Basketball: Jonathan Holmes out versus Oklahoma St.

Texas Longhorns leading scorer Jonathan Holmes is out of the lineup tonight versus Oklahoma State at the Frank Erwin Special Events Center.

Holmes injured his right knee on Saturday against Kansas State. Coach Rick Barnes has not released any details to the extent of the injury, but the school has announced Holmes will not play. The junior forward is averaging 13.1 points and 7.4 rebounds a game.

Oklahoma State (16-7, 4-6 Big 12) will be without one its stars as well. Marcus Smart is suspended following an incident in Lubbock on Sunday. Smart leads the Cowboys in scoring with 17.5 points a game.

Connor Lammert is expected to start for Texas (18-5, 7-3 Big 12). Barnes can also go with a smaller lineup of four guards since Oklahoma State does not have much size.

Tip-off is at 6:00 PM CT.
