Defensive End – Max Cummins

Max Cummins is a big, tall, rangy defensive end. Max just needs to grow into his 6’6″ frame to become a force on the defensive line for Texas playing against physical offensive linemen in the Big 12.

Cummins will remind people of NFL All-Pro defensive end J.J. Watt. He has quickness to get around blocks and strength to finish tackles. Cummins will also get after QBs, as evidenced by his 5.5 sacks during his senior season playing high school football in Fort Worth.

Cummins is a candidate to red-shirt because he might need more time to grow into his college body. So, look out for him in 2018 and beyond if he does not play in 2017.
