2018 NFL Draft: 5 Texas Players for next year’s Draft
(5) CB Antwuan Davis
Watch out for the senior from Bastrop. Davis is the only senior cornerback on the roster and he’s already impressed Texas coaches.
Davis played in 10 games last season and all 12 games in 2015, but he does not have much statistically to show for his time on the field.
That should change in 2017 with a new coaching staff and defensive scheme. Davis has the physical size and tools that you are looking for, plus the senior maturity to lead the DB unit.
If Davis has the type of season that he’s capable of, then he could be an NFL Draft pick. This is especially true during this era when NFL teams are zeroing in on DBs.

The just-completed 2017 NFL Draft set the record for most DBs selected in one draft, so Davis could be a valuable selection in 2018.
