Left Defensive End

1. Breckyn Hager

This Texas defensive line is one of the very best in the Big 12 this year, if not the best. Rising senior defensive end Breckyn Hager is possibly the biggest reason why the Texas defensive line has such a bright outlook this year.

Over the past two seasons, Hager racked up more than 10 sacks. He’ll be a force coming off the edge this year, and should finish around the eight or 10 sack mark. Hager is not only an All-Big 12 Team candidate, but also an All-American dark horse at that.

In regards to tackles for loss, Hager is also a player that will light up the stat sheet. Hager can be found bursting into the backfield on numerous occasions. He should easily rack up double digit tackles for loss, similar to what he did back during the 2016 campaign.

2. Ta’Quon Graham

One of the breakout players to watch along the Texas defensive line is a former four-star defensive end recruit in to-be sophomore Ta’Quon Graham. He got limited exposure last season, but had some flashes in that playing time.

Graham will end up as a starter for the Horns here soon. After the departure of Hager, Graham should be the next in line on this side of the defensive line. He did rack up two tackles for loss and one sack in that limited sample of just appearances in four games.
