There’s no doubt that this prospect is one of the best two-way players for the 2019 recruiting cycle and one of the flat-out most talented players altogether. Texas lost out on James Wiseman more than likely, so landing another top 10 prospect in the nation would be a way to continue this high standard for Texas basketball recruiting.

If Texas is looking for a player that could average a double-double game in and game out, look no further than one of the top-ranked high school prospects in the nation in five-star power forward Jaden McDaniels. Not only is McDaniels rated as the No. 4 prospect in the nation, he’s the top player out of his state and the best power forward around the country.

The favorite to nab McDaniels is going to be the San Diego State Aztecs. The Arizona Wildcats, Oklahoma Sooners, and Washington Huskies could also land the Federal Way, WA, native. A west coast school would be the likely winner of McDaniels’ talents when it’s all said and done. He’s just too talented for a PAC-12 or just west coast program, in general, to let him slip out of their grasp.

Yet, all resources for Texas basketball recruiting should be devoted to landing McDaniels. He’s a stud for Federal Way High School that stands out on both ends of the court. He’s slippery in the paint and can defend almost any position anywhere on the court. That type of skill set will easily translate to the NBA too.
