Texas Football: 5 drastically underrated offensive 2020 recruiting targets
If the Texas football program is looking to add a second quarterback to the mix in the 2020 recruiting class, a good place to look is three-star pro-style standout Ken Seals. After a recent downgrade in his classification, Seals now ranks as the nation’s 398 2020 high school prospect and the No. 14 pro-style quarterback.
The depth that the Horns are starting to form on the recruiting trail at quarterback could be the main reason why it seems like Seals is getting away from them. But, the most obvious reason why his interest in coming to the Forty Acres could be fading is that the Horns have yet to send him an official offer.
Per 247Sports, Seals did at least get a scouting look from the Horns. This is a quarterback that is at least worth sending an offer to since his recruiting ranking is quite unfairly dropping. Seals went from a four-star to a three-star pro-style quarterback after the turn of the calendar year and for no apparent reason.
Seals is a strong and accurate thrower in the pocket and has very good fundamentals and footwork. He can scramble when need be which makes his potential at a Power Five program that is the right fit pretty high. If the Horns never offer him, though, he won’t ever be coming to the Forty Acres when it’s all said and done.
