The Dunks

Roach came onto the Forty Acres with the known ability as a high-flyer. As previously stated, Roach was a two-time-state champion in the triple jump.

His vertical-leap ability was shown to Texas basketball fans when this video came out in the fall of his freshman semester.

Just six games into his freshman campaign, Roach pulled off this poster on a poor UT-Arlington defender that sent the internet into a frenzy.

And just a mere two weeks later …

Fast forward to the PK80 Phil Knight Invitational when Roach took to new heights, posterizing ACC players. Duke’s Javin DeLaurier was the victim of this one.

Final, his senior season rolled around. Roach waited until just the fourth game of the season to pull out his next poster over this poor Citadel defender.

And finally, to cap off the poster-show from one Roach, we flash back to the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational in November 2018. Roach went right at one of the premier players in the country in Cam Johnson, and this is what ensued.

Not to mention he put up a career high 32-points in this game, leading the Horns to their best win of the season.

All in all, it has been incredible to watch Kerwin Roach fly through the air the past four seasons in arenas across the country. He was a special talent, and even more of a special athlete. Roach reached number one on SportsCenter’s Top Ten four times in his Texas career, and will continue to do so wherever he ends up playing professionally.
