Turning the attention to the defensive side of the ball in the 2020 Texas football recruiting class, four-star Highland Park outside linebacker/edge rusher Prince Dorbah is about as good as it gets. Dorbah finished up ranked as the nation’s No. 126 2020 high school prospect and the No. 7 outside linebacker.

The Longhorns are going to have an electric pass rush once this recruiting class is able to form together on the Forty Acres. Dorbah could lead the way either as a smaller and quicker defensive end, or a stout and lightning fast edge rusher lining up as an outside linebacker.

Dorbah was a force to be reckoned with coming off the edge for Highland Park High School over the course of the last two seasons. It’s just a shame that his senior season in high school was cut short by an injury after less than three complete games.

The junior season for Dorbah saw him amass 16 sacks and 28.0 tackles for loss. He also came just shy of 20 quarterback hurries. And in those less than three games he played in 2019 with Highland Park, Dorbah amassed two sacks, three tackles for loss, and five quarterback hurries. He was still efficient for the limited time he was on the field healthy.

The lengthy and fast 6-foot-2.5 and 210 pound linebacker sets the edge with a lot of quickness and power. His complete game on defense will take a good amount of refining depending on where recently hired defensive coordinator Chris Ash slots him. Texas is very thin at linebacker entering the 2020 offseason, so the opportunity is definitely there for Dorbah to get some early playing time.
