1. Baylor looked vulnerable vs. Oklahoma State

Potentially the worst team in the Big 12 since the start of conference play last month is Oklahoma State. A win last week over the TCU Horned Frogs at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater was the first win in Big 12 play for the Pokes this season. Oklahoma State was 0-8 to start off their Big 12 slate before beating the Horned Frogs.

While other Big 12 programs like TCU and the Kansas State Wildcats are struggling to find their footing consistently, the fact that Baylor wasn’t able to convincingly beat one of those teams could be a possible opportunity for Texas to get the upset tonight. Baylor did prove vulnerable in the past this year, and it can happen again when they travel to the Forty Acres to face the Longhorns.

Baylor got the best of Oklahoma State by an eight-point margin on Feb. 8. But it came down to some weird calls at the end of the game, and Baylor put away the Pokes on free throws.

Against Kansas State on Feb. 3, Baylor also looked vulnerable against one of the two worst teams in the Big 12. Baylor needed a late fourth quarter push to put away Kansas State, in what resulted in a final score of 73-67. Since Baylor isn’t the best shooting team in Big 12 play so far this season, the Longhorns have a chance to get in their face and shut them down in that fashion.

Texas needs a good shooting night of their own to get past Baylor. They put up just 44 points when they faced Baylor in the season opener. Their needs to be more scoring tonight if Texas even wants a chance at knocking off the No. 1 team in the nation.
