2) Potential Texas football flips under Sark

Another current Alabama commit in their 2021 class that was once not only a key target of the Longhorns, but was pledged to them at one point, is the talented four-star Katy-Tompkins dual-threat quarterback Jalen Milroe. This potent 6-foot-3 and 205 pound in-state signal caller was once one of the most prominent commits in the Longhorns 2021 class.

As a result of Ewers giving his commitment to Texas’ 2022 class roughly four months back, Milroe wound up re-opening his recruitment. He would eventually flip his commitment from Texas to Alabama, and he signed his letter of intent a few weeks back during the Early Signing Period.

It was back on Aug. 17, 2020 that Milroe decommitted from Texas. And on that same day, he gave his commitment to Saban, Sark, and the Crimson Tide. On the first day of the Early Signing Period, Milroe wound up signing his letter of intent to play for Alabama.

However, if Milroe was really set on playing in Sark’s scheme in Tuscaloosa, then that might be a point of appeal to getting his commitment back on the Forty Acres. This sounds like a bit of a shot in the dark, but there’s no blue chip commit/signee at the quarterback position in the Longhorns 2021 or 2022 class at this point in time.

Milroe ranks as the nation’s No. 78 2021 high school prospect, No. 4 dual-threat quarterback, and No. 13 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 105 high school prospect, No. 6 dual-threat quarterback, and No. 15 prospect out of Texas.

Since Milroe is the highest rated quarterback in Alabama’s 2021 class, getting his commitment/LOI away from them would be a very challenging task. But it might be one worth at least trying on for Sark when he officially takes over as the Longhorns next head coach.
