Summer visitors to watch No. 1: Evan Stewart

One of the most notable and well-recognized name that is also a target of the Longhorns 2022 class by now is the elite four-star Frisco-Liberty wide receiver, Evan Stewart. Texas once held the commitment of Stewart, until he decided to re-open his recruitment less than one month after the fact.

Texas originally landed the commitment of Stewart on Feb. 18, which then led to him re-opening his recruitment on March 11. But Sark and the Longhorns very much remain a player, as it seems now, in the recruitment of Stewart. Texas is now one of three schools that has a scheduled official visit with Stewart for this summer.

The other two schools that also have scheduled official visits with Stewart now are Texas A&M and Florida.

The first visit in line for Stewart this summer is with Florida on June 4. Then later that month, Stewart is scheduled to visit Texas on the 11th and Texas A&M on the 24th. That rounds out the list of visits for now for the very busy native of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Schools like Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, and Alabama, now look to be some of the frontrunners in the race to land a commitment from Stewart. If Texas was able to get the pledge of Stewart back, they would be getting the nation’s No. 40 2022 high school prospect, No. 5 wide receiver, and No. 8 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 37 high school prospect, No. 5 wide receiver, and No. 11 prospect out of Texas.
