One particular wide receiver target that the Longhorns could land for their 2022 class that would completely change the game at the skill positions is the elite five-star St. Mary’s 5-foot-11 and 170 pound wide receiver Kevin Coleman. This St. Louis, MO, native could really help to round out an elite wide receiver position in this 2022 class if he does wind up landing on the Forty Acres.

But there is going to be some stiff competition that the Longhorns face on the recruiting trail before they can even think about landing a commitment from a prospect like Coleman. Texas is one of nearly 35 schools on Coleman’s lengthy offer sheet.

And some of the other notable schools on his offer sheet include the Alabama Crimson Tide, Arizona State Sun Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Loins, USC Trojans, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Stanford Cardinal, Tennessee Volunteers, and Texas A&M Aggies.

No official visits are scheduled yet for Coleman for the summer once the dead period lifts on June 1, but Texas should be on that here soon. They have another group of seven finalist schools to work past if they are to get Coleman’s pledge when it’s all said and done.

Moreover, Coleman ranks as the nation’s No. 17 2022 high school prospect, No. 2 wide receiver, and the top overall prospect out of Missouri (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 16 high school prospect, No. 2 wide receiver, and the top overall prospect out of Missouri.
