Texas Football: Predicting the Longhorns next 2023 5-Star commit
Arch Manning, QB
Of all of the big-time targets that the Longhorns have prioritized for their 2023 class at this point in time, the top on the list should be the uber-talented and potent five-star Isidore Newman pro-style quarterback Arch Manning. The 6-foot-4 and 200 pound New Orleans, LA, native is already a top name that pretty much the entire college football recruiting landscape is watching with an intent eye.
Yet, Texas is one of just 11 schools on the still-growing offer sheet of Manning. In fact, the only school to send Manning a scholarship offer in the last couple of months was the SMU Mustangs and head coach Sonny Dykes, which arrived back on May 10.
Some of the other notable schools on his offer sheet are the Duke Blue Devils, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina Tar Heels, Notre Dame, Ole Miss Rebels, and Tennessee. Sark himself is one of the coaches that is going after Manning on the recruiting trail.
Manning has already proved himself as a top performer at the high school football ranks in Louisiana. He has now registered more than 4,300 passing yards, 55 passing touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
Moreover, Manning ranks as the nation’ No. 3 2023 high school prospect, and the top overall pro-style quarterback and prospect out of Louisiana (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 5 high school prospect, and the top overall pro-style quarterback and prospect out of Louisiana.
What better way could Texas flip the script on the recruiting trail after losing the commitment of Quinn Ewers last fall than by landing one from Manning in the next 12-18 months.
