There should be an asterisk next to the name of the five-star Frisco-Liberty 6-foot and 175 pound wide receiver Evan Stewart on this list since he was already committed to Texas once. While it does feel like there’s a very real shot that Stewart returns to the Longhorns 2022 class by the time the Early Signing Period arrives in December, it is big for Sark to follow through on that happening.

Texas originally landed a commitment from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex native Stewart back on Feb. 18, 2021, which came in that string of pick-ups on the trail for Sark after he was first hired. But it took less than one month for Stewart to re-open his recruitment. He officially decommitted from Texas on March 11.

Since that point in time, Stewart received one more offer from the Michigan State Spartans and scheduled four official visits for the summer. He’s scheduled to visit Texas on June 11. And then he has other visits scheduled with Texas A&M (June 24), Florida (June 4), and Georgia (June 18).

Texas, Georgia, Texas A&M, and Florida are four of more than three dozen schools on Stewart’s lengthy offer sheet. Some of the other notable schools are Alabama, LSU, Auburn, the Florida State Seminoles, Michigan, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and USC.

Moreover, Stewart now ranks as the nation’s No. 34 2022 high school prospect, No. 3 wide receiver, and No. 9 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 37 high school prospect, No. 5 wide receiver, and No. 11 prospect out of Texas.
