Texas Football: 4 2022 targets Sark is close to getting ahead of visits
Denver Harris, CB
With the secondary being a main area of emphasis in this list so far, it doesn’t stop with the targeting of five-star North Shore 6-foot-1 and 180-pound cornerback Denver Harris. The Houston-area product is one of the most talented prospects that the Longhorns could possibly land a commitment from in their 2022 class.
And the Longhorns are set to host Harris on an official visit in Austin on June 18. Texas is one of four schools that is currently scheduled to have an official visit with Harris next month. The other three are Alabama (June 25), LSU (June 11), and Texas A&M (June 4).
While Texas could be a leader to land the commitment of Harris at the moment, it’s hard to tell exactly where his intentions lie heading into official visit season. Those four schools that he’s holding visits with are likely to be the frontrunners at this point in time.
Those four schools are part of an offer sheet of nearly 40 for Harris at the moment. So there are other schools that would still love to make up some ground in his recruitment.
There are two expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions that have Harris’ commitment going to Texas. But there’s still some fogginess as to how those projections will turn out.
Moreover, Harris ranks as the nation’s No. 6 2022 high school prospect, No. 3 cornerback, and No. 2 prospect out of Texas (247Sports Composite). And the Top247 ranks him as the nation’s No. 20 high school prospect, No. 3 cornerback, and No. 5 prospect out of Texas.
