How many times could Sark and the Longhorns see the hyped five-star Frisco-Liberty wide receiver Evan Stewart commit and decommit from the 2022 class this offseason?

Hopefully, the answer to that question is just one more time, with just a firm commitment to Texas when it’s all said and done. It still looks like there’s a good chance that Sark and second-year wide receivers coach Andre Coleman could be the frontrunner to land a commitment from Stewart if he announces his decision in the summer months.

It sounds like there was a premature decision that Stewart made when he committed to Texas originally a few months back. Stewart didn’t take long to re-open his recruitment after he gave his pledge to Sark and the Longhorns.

As of the morning of May 29, Texas still holds the edge with two expert 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions going their way for Stewart’s commitment. And the Rivals FutureCast still has all of their analysts and publishers picking the commitment of Stewart to land with the Longhorns when it’s all said and done.

Texas is set to get one of the four official visits that Stewart has scheduled for next month, specifically on June 11.

The other three official visits he has on the books at the moment comes with the Florida Gators (June 4), Texas A&M Aggies (June 24), and Georgia Bulldogs (June 18). These are likely the four schools to watch heading into the summer months if a commitment of Stewart is coming soon.

At this point, the recruitment of Stewart is hard to decipher. He’ll likely just take a couple of months to figure things out, and Texas needs to continue to prioritize his recruitment if they want him to be part of a potentially elite receiving corps alongside four-star Lewisville commit Armani Winfield in the 2022 class.
