Another product of the DFW Metroplex that is worth watching moving forward for Beard and the Longhorns is the potent four-star 6-foot-8 and 215 pound Garland power forward Zuby Ejiofor. Texas is set to host Ejiofor on one of the five visits that he is set to take within the next five and a half weeks.

As one of the more highly sought-after 2022 high school prospects out of the state of Texas entering the summer months, the Longhorns have to be considered one of the frontrunners in the race to land Ejiofor.

With a lot of the attention on the recruiting trail at the moment for Beard and the Longhorns 2022 class being paid to the nation’s top-ranked 2022 high school prospect and five-star small forward Emoni Bates, a target like Ejiofor can seemingly fall through the cracks.

But Texas definitely shouldn’t, and very likely won’t, overlook what Ejiofor brings to the table for the 2022 class. It would be a tremendous way for Texas to build a foundation in their 2022 class around a commitment from Ejiofor.

The schools that Ejiofor is set to visit this summer are Texas (June 28), the Oklahoma Sooners (June 14), Kansas Jayhawks (June 23), TCU Horned Frogs (June 9), and Arkansas Razorbacks (July 1). A recent 247Sports prediction of where the top prospects in Texas will go hand the commitment of Ejiofor landing with the Longhorns when it’s all said and done.
