Now we’ve reached the point of the list where the Longhorns have the most on the line. Four-star West Brook (TX) safety Bryce Anderson is one of the most important priorities on the recruiting trail right now for Sark and the Longhorns 2022 class. Anderson is a prospect that Texas looked to be in the lead with for a good while now.

Given that Anderson is set to announce his commitment on July 4 (in just over two weeks from now), what happens with his recruitment in the next 10 days could be critical. Granted, Texas might just be trying to lock in the commitment of Anderson for good at this point. It’s hard to exactly tell if he’s locked in with one decision already by now, or if he’s waiting out for the rest of his visits to conclude.

Anderson has already taken official visits this month with competing schools like the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies. Alabama might be the top competitor to snag Anderson from Texas when it’s all said and done.

Although, the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions still show Texas holding a firm lead over the rest of the competition to get Andreson’s commitment.

The 6-foot and 190-pound in-state product Anderson is a former commit of the LSU Tigers. But he re-opened his recruitment back on Jan. 30, 2021, so he’s been looking around for a while now. And it looks like Texas will have the final word in his recruitment, given that the June 25 official visit to Austin is his final one on the books for this month.

If Texas does wind up landing the commitment of Anderson, he would be the second blue-chip safety in the mix. Texas also has the talented four-star Aledo safety Bryan Allen Jr. committed in the 2022 class. This position group truly has the makings of something special for the Longhorns in this class.
