There won’t be many more proven and experienced safeties/cornerbacks that show up from the Big 12 ranks as the former Oklahoma State Cowboys multi-time All-Big 12 selection and senior defensive back Jarrick Bernard-Converse.

That I know of now, there is not really any interest that the Longhorns have in Bernard-Converse. But that could change in a hurry given the interest that the Longhorns are still showing in other defensive backs such as Brini. Bernard-Converse actually has a lot more proven production under his belt than Brini.

And there would be the familiarity that Bernard-Converse already has in playing in the Big 12 from his time at Oklahoma State in the last few seasons.

Some of the numbers that Bernard-Converse registered with head coach Mike Gundy and the Pokes in the last few seasons are nothing short of astounding. He’s registered nearly 200 career combined tackles, eight tackles for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, two-dozen pass breakups, and one forced fumble.

Bernard-Converse also consistently improved his play for the Pokes in the last few seasons. That came to a head when he became one of the highest-graded defensive backs in the Big 12 in the season that was. This would definitely be a high-value find for the Longhorns in the transfer portal that could make an obvious immediate impact on the secondary.
