We’re baaaaaaack… almost. “We” being the Texas Longhorns, not myself nor you (unless you’re on the football team, then yes, you).
As the Horns enter the SEC and prepare for a whole new ball game, they don’t exactly have the easiest scheduled ahead of them in 2024.
Texas will take on the defending National Champions Michigan Wolverines, the previous back-to-back National Champions Georgia Bulldogs, and the usual suspect Oklahoma Sooners.
So, which road games may be the most difficult but are also absolutely vital to cementing the Longhorns’ place as a national top contender?

The Horns will be traveling to Ann Arbor to kick off September and battle against the Michigan Wolverines on the road.
While Michigan won't have its historic head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Wolverines will have beloved former assistant Sherrone Moore running the show.
Steve Sarkisian and his squad are currently projected to usurp the Wolverines as the higher-seeded team but it may be difficult for the Longhorns to take down Michigan on the road.
The Wolverines haven't lost a home game since 2020, making them an incredible 22-0 over the last three seasons. Meanwhile, Texas has gone just 8-6 on the road over the same stretch.
The Longhorns and Razorbacks have played each other 79 times over their long-lived rivalry, most recently in 2021.
Texas has a resounding lead over Arkansas with a 56-23 record against the Pigs. The Horns also have the longest win streak between the rivals at 14 games in a row.
Unfortunately, Arkansas is currently on a 2-game win streak against Texas. In 2021, the Razorbacks demolished the Horns 40-21 in Fayetteville.
When the two teams faced off in the Texas Bowl in 2014, Arkansas walked away victorious, flattening Texas' offense in a 31-7 victory over the Longhorns.
118. That's how many times the Longhorns and the Aggies have played each other.
76. That's how many times Texas has won.
2011. The last time that Texas A&M and the Horns faced off.
The in-state, historic, and loved (or loathed) rivalry is back on for the first time in over a decade.
The Longhorns defeated the Aggies 27-24 in the last matchup when Justin Tucker scored the game-winning, 40-yard field goal.
Since Texas A&M lost to Texas and ran away to the SEC, the two teams haven't played but now that the rivalry has returned, the Longhorns need to take down the Aggies at Kyle Field.
