2 studs, 1 dud from Texas's flattening of UAPB

Texas goes off offensively, scoring over 120 points in a single game for the first time since the 2003-04 season against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Dec. 15.

Dud: Ze'Rik Onyema, PF

In reality, there aren't any major duds for a Longhorns' team that just beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 121-57. Texas was firing on all cylinders in this game from the very start, which was emphasized by the Longhorns scoring an insane 66 points in the first half alone.

That said, the one player I would've liked to see more from in a game like this, where Terry and the Longhorns staff were able to get pretty much everyone in the rotation minutes by the second half was senior power forward Ze'Rik Onyema.

Despite getting 17 minutes off the bench against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Onyema wasn't able to make much of an impact on this game for the Longhorns. Onyema was limited by foul trouble, picking up four personal fouls in the game's first 30 minutes.

As a result, Onyema had to be more conservative with his physicality protecting the rim and jockeying for position on the boards and scoring around the basket.

Onyema finished up with just six points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 from the free-throw line. He also picked up two rebounds, one steal, and one turnover.

Since Onyema was facing an undersized and athletically-overmatched Arkansas-Pine Bluff frontcourt, he had a chance to put up big stats in this game for Texas's frontcourt rotation.

I really thought that after Onyema's first game scoring in double figures since early November in the win over the New Mexico State Aggies on Dec. 12, he was bound for another big contest against the Golden Lions.

With the Longhorns missing Johnson and senior forward Jayson Kent due to various injuries in the latter portion of non-conference play, Onyema needs to step up for the frontcourt unit for the next copule of weeks.
