Stud: Nic Codie, PF
While quite a few Longhorns' players put up big stats today against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, no one stole the show for Terry's squad quite like Codie. Coming into this game against UAPB today, the most points Codie had scored in a single game for Texas was the four points he registered in the win over New Mexico State a few days ago.
Codie seemingly couldn't do any wrong for the Longhorns on either end of the floor. He shot an impressive 8-of-10 from the field and was perfect from beyond the arc (2-of-2) and from the charity stripe (2-of-2).

He was nailing shots seamlessly from all over the floor in the settled offensive halfcourt, including a deep three-pointer before halftime.

Codie was a scoring machine for the Longhorns, which goes without saying since he averaged over a point per minute played in this game.
Since the Longhorns have struggled to find answers against Quad 1 and Quad 2 opponents this regular season in non-conference play, Codie's rise could be impactful for Terry and Co. going into SEC on Jan. 4 against Texas A&M.
He's definitely earned his minutes in the Longhorns' past two games, scoring a combined two dozen points, along with four rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.
I also wanted to give a shout-out to senior guard Julian Larry, who had a massive double-double performance coming off the bench for the Longhorns with 11 points, three rebounds, and 13 assists. This was only the second time Larry had double-digit assists in a game in his collegiate career, and he posted a career-high in that stat category.
