Stud: Arthur Kaluma, F
Senior forward Arthur Kaluma registered his fifth and second straight double-double of the season in the win over Mizzou tonight. Going back to the Florida game last weekend, Kaluma has registered two dozen points and 22 rebounds in the past two games for the Longhorns.
Kaluma was hitting big shots, bringing down important rebounds on both ends of the floor, and being disruptive down low for the Longhorns for all 40 minutes in this game. Late in the first half, Kaluma hit a big shot that made sure the Longhorns took a lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the second half, Kaluma continued to dial up the pressure against Mizzou on both ends of the floor. He registered a game-high seven rebounds in the second half alone, including three critical offensive boards that let to four second-chance points for Texas down the stretch.
I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the second-half scoring efforts from Kaluma in the paint and the free-throw line. He hit five clutch free-throws in the second half that helped the Longhorns secure the victory late in the game.
Kaluma provided the type of paint presence the Longhorns needed going both ways to topple this red-hot Mizzou squad that has a lot of size and athleticism down low in the frontcourt. And he continues to do so at an efficient level on both ends of the floor, as this is the second time this season that Kaluma has registered multiple blocks and multiple steals in a game (also vs. Delaware State).
