Secondary

The Cougars welcome back corner Jordan Johnson after he missed the 2013 season with a knee injury. Johnson is expected to start at one of the boundary spots opposite of Rob Daniel. Daniel played inside last season, but moves outside to shore up the perimeter. Trent Trammel missed the entire 2013 season, but is expected to provide some depth.

At safety, senior Craig Bills provides the leadership in the back end of the defense. Bills had 78 tackles and two interceptions in 2013. Skye PoVey is another senior with big-game experience. Even with all the experience, Ash still had 251 yards passing and two touchdowns before leaving the game. No doubt the Texas quarterback has this game circled on his calendar as his chance to exact some revenge against the team that ruined his 2013 season.

Texas players have had a year to think about what happened in Provo. No one wants to see a repeat in DKR. This will be a good test for the Longhorns before the UCLA game.
