One name that received a lot of attention early though it’s died down a bit, is Archie Miller, head coach of the Dayton Flyers.

Miller, has been with Dayton since 2011. It’s his first head coaching job. Prior to that, he was an assistant coach for his brother Sean Miller’s Arizona team.

In his four years with the Flyers, Miller has led his team to three NCAA appearances, including the Elite Eight last season.

While he could be an outstanding up-and-coming coach, the reason his name has likely quieted as a potential replacement is likely due to his lack of experience. However, if Patterson can’t agree to terms with one of his other choices, Miller could find himself in the mix. Chances are that it probably won’t get that far.
