Yet another name that is drawing some attention is Villanova’s Jay Wright.

Five years ago, many disgruntled Texas fans were clamoring for Wright to take Barnes’ place. Today, he’s lost a bit of luster among the fans, though Chip Brown of Scout.com reported that he is considered a person of interest.

Wright has been with Villanova since 2001, and in that time he’s taken them to ten NCAA Tournaments, including a Final Four (2009), two Elite Eights, and four Sweet Sixteens.

However, since his Final Four appearance in 2009-2010, his team has failed to make it out of the first or second round.

Nevertheless, perhaps he would capture some of that old fire in a new position.
